Headlines of a woman jumping off a building in New City have spread like fire. The woman who jumped to her death has been identified as a former Miss USA.

The 30-year old was crowned as the winner in the 2019 Miss USA pageant. She was living on the ninth floor in the 60-story Orion Building in Manhattan, where she was found dead on the street on Sunday morning.

Kryst was last seen on the terrace of her apartment building around 7 am, as the sources told New York Post.

The family of the dead is devastated and shared their mourning in the statement, “In devastation and great sorrow, we share the passing of our beloved Cheslie. Her great light was one that inspired others around the world with her beauty and strength. She cared, she loved, she laughed and she shined.” “Cheslie embodied love and served others, whether through her work as an attorney fighting for social justice, as Miss USA and as a host on Extra.”

They added, “But most importantly as a daughter, sister, friend, mentor and colleague – we know her impact will live on.”

The former Miss USA was a lawyer and also worked as a reporter for the Extra TV show. The Company also shared their condolences for the loss of their work-family member stating, “Our hearts are broken, Cheslie was not just a vital part of our show. She was a beloved part of our Extra family and touched the entire staff. Our deepest condolences to all her family and friends.”

Cheslie posted a photo of her in a black dress and smokey eyes make-up and glossy mauve lips. She wrote in the caption, “May this day bring you rest and peace.”

The cause of her suicide is still under investigation. But the television presenter has also been vocal about the importance of mental health in past and how she uses different strategies to cope with stress and anxiety.

We would like to offer our condolences to family and people concerned about this unfortunate and traumatic incident.
