The American sitcom Abbott elementary will return for its season 2, and there is good news for fans of the series that the series just got renewed for a second season.

On March 14, 2022, ABC renewed the mockumentary series for a second season.

Even if this is good news for fans, they will have to wait for a long time to see the sitcom hitting the screens, but in the meantime, they can stream the sitcom’s season 1, which is still airing.

Quinta Brunson created the American mockumentary series for ABC.

Quinta Brunson, the creator of Janine Teagues, is a second-grade teacher at Abbott Elementary. Alongside Quints, it also features Tyler James Williams, Janelle James, Lisa Ann Walter, Chris Perfetti, Sheryl Lee Ralph as the core cast of the sitcom.

The series premiered as a midseason entry in 2021–22.

It aired on December 7, 2021, and is still airing. It will have twelve episodes and will last air on April 5, 2022.

The series was critically acclaimed and received positive responses from audiences.

The series earned 9.0 million total viewers and a 2.93 rating in adults 18-49 in MP35, ABC’s strongest comedy telecast of new or returning series among 18-49 in nearly two years since the April 8, 2020, series finale of Modern Family.
The series has 100% ratings on rotten tomatoes.

As the series is still going on, no details regarding season 2 have been revealed, but we can expect the old cast to return for season 2, and it will most likely premiere in early 2023.
