American comedian, the actor looks back at 2021 and the “worst situation” amid the ongoing investigation into the death of Halyna Hutchins on the set of the movie ‘Rust.’
Alec Baldwin took Instagram to share a 13-minute monologue reflecting on his fatal on-set shooting the cinematographer Halyna. The post captioned, “Another chance to let go of anything that is hurting us. Destroying us.”
He began talking about how a woman from Long Island has been Kind to her to hand him a packet of Splenda along with an encouraging note. “I’ve had more people who have been kind and thoughtful and generous of spirit than I have people who are malignant about the Death of Halyna Hutchins,” Baldwin said.
The actor continued, “I’m not afraid to say that and to couch that in some euphemism, somebody died very tragically.” “I’ve gotten so much, I mean so much, goodwill from people. It’s just incredible.”
The incident that happened was catastrophic. While rehearsing a scene on the set of “Rust,” Baldwin was holding a gun, and it went off, discharging a live round that wasn’t supposed to be on the movie set in the first place. The ricocheting bullets killed Hutchins and wounded director Joel Souza. Alec is one of the many people on the highly public police investigation.
It’s Complicated star continued, “This has been surely the worst situation I’ve ever been involved with, and I’m very helpful that the people in charge with investigating this whole thing get to the truth as soon as possible’ No one wants the truth more than I do.”
The actor has received many well-wishes from strangers and people he knows. he shared a letter and a drawing from a friend’s daughter in which she stated that she is praying for him and the families of those involved.
The 63-year-old emphasized how he is not a new year’s resolution person but this year, and he is looking forward to resolving to eliminate all the negativity in his life. He is considering this as the 2022 goal he wants to work on.
“The one thing I do want to consider in this coming year and to push myself in terms of trying to not allow the negativity in my life to affect me.” He added, “I’ve been having some very interesting phone calls with some very interesting people who I will not name, but some of them rather well-known people who deal in all kinds of behavioral, philosophical, religious, spiritual, meditation- All kinds of ways to attain a state of mind where you rear-circuit a lot of the negative in your life. And that’s what I want.”
“My Goal in the New Year is peace, awareness, consciousness, deepening my relationship with the people that I love, pulling them closer to me, and improving relationships with people I care about, but maybe I don’t get to see much of them anymore.” He concluded.
In the meantime, Baldwin’s wife, Hilaria, also posted a message on Instagram where she expects 2022 will be ‘Flawless.’
