The Canadian actress and author from Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Evangeline Lily who is best known for her roles in the ABC series “Lost” and Ant-man is now included in the list of celebrities who have shared their views against covid-19 vaccination.
Evangeline claims that she attended an anti-vaccination rally in Washington, DC, and according to her nobody should be forced to inject their body with anything against their will.
On Thursday, Lilly shared three pictures from the anti-vaccination rally on her Instagram account along with a quote by “Naval Ravikant” which reads “All tyranny begins with the desire to coerce others for the greater good.”
She accompanied the post with a long caption and several hashtags.
Lilly wrote “I was in DC this weekend to support body sovereignty while Canadian Truckers were rallying for their cross-country, peacefully convoy in the support of the same thing”
She further wrote that she believes nobody should be forced to inject their body with anything against their will under any threat.
“This is not the way. This is not safe. This is not healthy. This is not love. I understand the world is in fear, but I don’t believe that answering fear with force will fix our problems. I was pro-choice before COVID and I am still pro-choice today,” Lilly Wrote and ended her post with hashtags #medicalchoice, #medicalfreedom, #bodilyautonomy, #bodilysovereighnty, #defeatthemandatesdc, #canadiantruckers, and #iamwithyou.
In the United States, The term “pro-choice” is generally used in the context of the abortion-rights movement.
In March 2020, at the beginning of the Covid pandemic, Lilly made headlines when she posted about refusing social distance and quarantine, adding, “Some people value their lives over freedom, some people value freedom over their lives. We all make choices.”
However, The Canadian actress later apologized.
“My direct and special apologies to those most affected by this pandemic,” Lilly wrote in a statement. “I never meant to hurt you. When I wrote that post 10 days ago, I thought I was infusing calm into the hysteria. I can see now that I was projecting my fears into an already fearful and traumatic situation.”
