Prepare yourself because John Mulaney, an Emmy-winning comedian, will return to Netflix with a new comedy special titled John Mulaney: Baby J.  The Streamer’s First Comedy Special, released in 2015 as ‘The Kid Who Returned’, His Second Special debuted on Netflix three years later, ‘Kid Beautiful in Radio City’. Now Mulaney is back with a new special almost five years later, and we can’t wait to see it. David Byrne, whose music was also featured in the 2019 John Mulaney & The Sack Lunch Bunch special, is featured in the new special, which Alex Timbers directed. In February 2023, Baby J was shot in Boston’s Symphony Hall and most likely to be released On April 25, 2023, and the special show will premiere on Netflix.     

When Was John Mulaney Filmed?

During Mulaney’s From Scratch tour in February 2023, the Netflix special was filmed at Boston’s Symphony Hall. The new special was directed by Alex Timbers, who also directed Kid Gorgeous at Radio City and was an executive producer. Additionally, Talking Heads’ David Byrne will contribute music to it. John Mulaney & the Sack Lunch Bunch, Byrne’s Netflix children’s musical comedy special, featured a collaboration with Mulaney.

When Will Netflix Release The New John Mulaney Special?

John Mulaney: Baby J On Tuesday, April 25, 2023, will be on Netflix. On this date, you can anticipate its arrival in your Netflix account at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET. These times apply to individuals living on the US’s West Coast and East Shoreline. The brand-new special will be available to watch on April 25 at 2:00 a.m. CT for those living in the Central time zone.
