The American comedy-drama series, Atlanta, will say goodbye to its fans. But as we know, the series will end with its fourth season, and there are still two more seasons left to be released.
Actor and singer Donald Glover creates the drama series. The first season of the series, consisting of ten episodes, premiered on FX on September 6, 2016.
The core cast of the series includes Donald Glover as Earnest, Brian Tyree Henry as Alfred (Earnest’s cousin), LaKeith Stanfield as Darius Epps, and Zazie as Vanessa.
In 2017, 2018, and 2019 the series was renewed for its second, third, and fourth seasons.
The second season of the series was released in 2018 with Eleven episodes, and the third season of the series, which would consist of 10 episodes, is scheduled to premiere with two episodes on March 24, 2022. Season 3 was initially expected to be released in 2019, but due to covid-19, it was delayed. Both seasons three and four had completed filming in Feb 2022, and it was also announced it will it’s the final season.
The series has received many awards and nominations, including two Golden Globe Awards for Best Television Series, two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series many more.
On Thursday, during a Q&A with TV critics, “This Is America” singer said he has no regrets about wrapping the series.
“To be honest, I wanted to end it after season two,” he said. “Death is natural…when the conditions are ripe for something, they happen, and when the conditions aren’t right for it, they don’t happen.”
“I feel like the story was always supposed to be what it was,” Glover said.
