This Diwali, Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu and Ajay Devgan’s Thank God hit the theatres, and both films underperformed in the first six days. But it was expected that these films would do good biz over the Diwali holidays, but both films ended up underperforming.
With around Rs. 7.25 – 7.50 crore nett on its sixth day, Ram Setu saw a weekend of around Rs. 54.50 crore nett. The same was the case with Thank God as it did around Rs. 3 – 3.25 crore nett on its sixth day, just around as much as it did on its previous day, to conclude its six-day weekend with a collection of Rs. 26.70 crores.
On the other hand, south films are breaking all the records. Recently launched Kantara crossed 200 crores.
