The Australian post-apocalyptic action film franchise’s hit Mad Max: Fury Road is often considered in the list of “the best action movies.”
Max: Fury Road was released in 2015, Charlie Theron plays the lead role in the movie along with Tom Hardy and Mel Gibson.
But at one point in time, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were considered for the roles in the action film.
The film is directed by George Miller and is the fourth installment in the film series since its debut in 1974.
In the movie, Tom Hardy plays the role of Max Rockatansky and Charlize Theron portrays the role of Imperator Furiosa.
The “Fight Club ” star Brad Pitt was being considered for the role of Tom Hardy’s character Max, but it doesn’t mention anything about Angelina Jolie, fans can assume it was for the part of Charlize Theron’s Imperator Furiosa.
George Miller’s assistant James Nicholas even revealed while taking Mad Max: Fury Road’s casting decision. “I remember putting Brad Pitt’s face on Mel’s Road Warrior body, just to see what it would look like.”
In an old interview with FHM, Miller explained that he had two more “Mad Max” projects kicking around in his head at the time: “Furiosa” and “The Wasteland.” When asked if they would follow on from each other, he responded: “They’ll be tangentially linked.
Mad Max: The wasteland is scheduled to be released on 23rd June 2023.
It will be followed by the film “Mad Max: Furiosa”. The shooting for Mad Max: Furiosa will begin in March this year and we will see the movie in theatres on 24th May 2024.
Anya Taylor-Joy will play the lead role as a young version of the titular character, who is originally portrayed by Charlize Theron.
Apart from Anya Taylor and Nicholas Hoult, Chris Hemsworth will also be seen in the upcoming sequel.
