“The process to crack and investigate crypto crimes is more complex than traditional ones,” explains Frederico Meinberg, the coordinator of Brazil’s ‘Crypto’ unit.

Brazil is embracing active measures to ensure that crypto-related crimes in the nation are tackled with sincere precision. The public litigation office of Brazil’s central-western Federal District is behind the launch of this cryptocurrency investigation unit. The recently formed branch will also contribute to providing education and awareness regarding the crypto sector in the nation. The development takes place at a time when the virtual digital assets (VDA) industry is undergoing development in Latin American countries.

The name of this latest investigation unit is ‘Crypto.’ This unit will be collaborating with members of the public ministry, judiciary, and the police to provide education on digital assets.

“The best training for an agent dealing with digital assets is to interact with the market. Without practice, we can offer the best tools that, in the end, the agent will not know what to do with. That is why we always focus on the interaction of agents with the ecosystem, starting with exchanges and peer-to-peer sellers,” Frederico Meinberg, the unit’s coordinator, announced in a recent interview.

The government of Brazil intends to protect crypto investors from financial risks.

This newly established ‘Crypto’ unit will be training its members in blockchain technologies so that they are prepared to tackle any detrimental situation and solve the associated risks.
