Bridgerton took the world by storm when it was first released on Netflix in December 2020. The period drama was based on Julia Quinn’s best-selling book series, and fans couldn’t get enough of the show’s intricate plot, stunning costumes, and scandalous romances. However, as the show’s creators prepare for a third season, it’s likely that some characters won’t be returning.
Here are five Bridgerton characters that probably won’t be back in season three.
- Marina Thompson
Marina Thompson was a central character in Bridgerton’s second season, but it’s unlikely that she’ll be returning for season three. In season two, Marina caused quite a stir when she revealed that she was pregnant with George Crane’s child. Although her storyline was compelling, it seems that her arc has reached its natural conclusion, and there’s little more for the show to do with her character.
- Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings
The Duke of Hastings, played by Regé-Jean Page, was undoubtedly one of the breakout stars of Bridgerton’s first season. However, it was announced that Page would not be returning for season two, and it’s safe to say that his character won’t be back for season three either.
- Madame Delacroix
Madame Delacroix was a minor character in Bridgerton’s first season, but she made a lasting impression on viewers. The eccentric dressmaker, played by Bessie Carter, was a scene-stealer with her wild outfits and even wilder personality.
- Genevieve Delacroix
Genevieve Delacroix, Madame Delacroix’s daughter, was introduced in Bridgerton’s second season. The character, played by Kathryn Drysdale, was an intriguing addition to the show, but it’s unlikely that she’ll be back for season three.
- Henry Granville
Henry Granville was a minor character in Bridgerton’s first season, but he made an impact on viewers with his passionate speeches about Art and creativity. However, it’s unlikely that Henry will be returning for season three. His storyline was resolved in the first season, and there’s little more for the show to do with his character.
