The racing drama, essentially a documentary, has gradually won our hearts. As the release of the fifth season approaches, it is only natural for our excitement to the peak. The Netflix series, which was created in partnership with Formula One, provides a behind-the-scenes look at the legendary races and the drivers as they prepare for the Formula One World Championship. On March 5, 2023, Formula 1 returns. And now that we have seen the new car designs, we are even more eager for that day. An understatement would be that F1 2022 was a challenging and frequently frustrating season. We are all eagerly awaiting the release of F1: Drive to Survive season 5, so it goes without saying.
The upcoming season’s trailer states, “Formula 1 teams have completely rebuilt their vehicles for a thrilling 2023 season, and this year’s championships are up for grabs.” Once besides giving fans unprecedented access, this season will take them behind the scenes to witness how the drivers and groups get prepared to compete for triumph in one of the sport’s most dramatic seasons. Sergio Pérez, Oscar Piastri, Daniel Ricciardo, Max Verstappen, and possibly Hamilton will all return for the fifth season. Verstappen won’t make an appearance in any in-show interviews until this season.
The documentary is expected to air on ESPN and ESPN2, where the races are broadcast live. Even though this is a sports documentary, Drive to Survive won’t appear on either. Drive to Survive has never been one of the incredible documentaries on the HBO Max streaming service, and season 5 is no exception. Only Netflix will have access to the thrilling new season. Watch on February 24, 2023, as the streaming juggernaut will air the documentary. This gives us enough time to watch the previous episodes.
