Coming soon is Nyad, a unique and compelling movie based on the life of 64-year-old Diana Nyad. The film tells the tale of Diana Nyad, who became the first person to complete the “Everest of swims” by swimming 110 miles between Cuba and Florida in open water without using a shark cage. Later this year, the Netflix original movie Nyad will debut with Annette Bening in the lead role. The Academy Award-winning documentary filmmaker Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and the athlete/filmmaker Jimmy Chin co-directed this biographical sports drama based on Nyad’s book Find A Way. The screenplay was co-written by Emmy-winning authors Ann Biderman and Julia Cox.
The story of the movie centers on veteran swimmer Diana Nyad, who set a record by swimming 110 miles in open water. With the cast Netflix has chosen, we believe the movie will be a masterpiece and the upcoming box office leader in the biological thriller genre.
Diana Nyad, a swimmer, will be played by Annette Bening. Diana’s longtime coach, the main character, is also played by Academy Award-winning actress Jodie Foster. Diana’s close friend, Bonnie Stoll, also appears in the movie. John Bartlett, Diana’s chief navigator, is portrayed by Welsh actor Rhys Ifans, who is also well-known for his work in the Harry Potter movies and the House of the Dragon.

The movie’s official release date is yet to be announced, but we can expect it in late 2023 as the production for the film has just started. There is also no official release of the trailer. Waiting for it will bring more curiosity to the minds of the audiences.
