There has been a lot of back-and-forth on social media about the breakup of the series’ winners, Georgia Hassarati and Dom Gabriel, since the release of Netflix’s Perfect Match finale episode last week. Dom and Georgia first met in the early 2022-filmed season of Netflix’s Perfect Match; a new dating program where former Netflix reality stars mingle in a villa for their ideal match. Georgia and Dom were named the “perfect match” by their fellow cast members after 12 episodes of dates, cute moments, and even a proposal. As a result, they won an all-expenses-paid trip to the location of their choice.
The couple was the focus of fans’ attention, and many of them expressed their delight at their victory. Georgia and Dom did, however, confirm they were no longer dating in a People interview shortly after the season finale aired. Georgia is from Australia, while Dom is from Canada, so they cited distance as the primary factor in their breakup. Georgia’s Instagram followers already knew that she was dating Harry Jowsey, a former Too Hot To Handle cast member, and that they had been dating since the middle of 2022. Georgia didn’t appreciate what Dom said in the most recent “where are they now” Netflix segment about her and how their relationship ended. In his interview, Dom made a passing allusion to Georgia returning to Harry on podcast that claimed he didn’t have the idea until it came out.
Georgia continued by saying she had seen Dom a few weeks prior, and he had not made any comments about their relationship. She continued by saying that they had been messaging as usual but stopped after Dom initially saw Francesca Farago, the person he had been paired up with on the show. When they both appeared on Too Hot To Handle in 2020, Francesca also happened to have dated Harry Jowsey. Dom later replied to Georgia on his Instagram stories with a post. He posted screenshots of texts with a caption allegedly sent from Georgia. She asserted that the two had recently spoken. Still, Dom denied this, asserting that they had only recently exchanged text messages regarding the Perfect Match prize money during the “where are they now” filming.
