Netflix has allowed Designated Survivor to continue for yet another season. After two seasons, ABC recently pulled the Kiefer Sutherland-led drama, but Netflix ordered a third of the 10 episodes to air in 2019. Tom Kirkman, played by Kiefer Sutherland, is a modest politician who becomes president after an attack kills the elected POTUS and everyone else in the line of succession.
“The continuance of the series via Netflix is a win-win for all involved,” EP Mark Gordon added. We are excited to continue the show for a global audience with our new partner because the story of President Kirkman and those around him has yet to be told fully.
How many seasons does Netflix have of Designated Survivor?
Netflix Lifers, we have wonderful news! Because all three seasons of Designated Survivor can be streamed on Netflix, you don’t have to look elsewhere to watch the entire series. On the other hand, you can purchase individual episodes or entire seasons on digital platforms like Vudu and Google Play.
How Many Episodes Are There Of Designated Survivor?
As we mentioned earlier, Designated Survivor has three seasons, and all three are currently streaming on Netflix.
The total number of episodes in a season is as follows:
- Season 1: 21 episodes
- Season 2: 22 episodes
- Season 3: 10 episodes
The political drama series has 53 episodes in all. There are 10 episodes. The third season has fewer episodes than the first and second seasons because the first two seasons aired on ABC, while Netflix selected the third and final seasons.
