Netflix has revealed the first teaser trailer and premiere date for the Chinese-language series, ‘Copycat Killer.’ Netflix-only Mandarin television series ‘Copycat Killer,’ inspired by the top-selling book of the same name by renowned Japanese mystery author Miyabe Miyuki, was established in the 1990s and followed the story of Kuo Hsiao-chi (Wu Kang-ren), a veteran crime prosecutor managing his first-ever serial killer case, and how he aims to bring the murderer to justice. Hsiao-chi is eager to uncover the key evidence needed to solve the case despite the murderer’s constant attempts to irritate him. He would even risk his life to do so.
Copycat Killer’s original author, Miyabe Miyuki, has won eight literary honors for her work in various genres. She is also recognized for launching a new generation of female mystery authors in Japan.

The media-savvy serial murderer uses the public interest to his advantage, turning the case into a countrywide spectacle encouraging rumours and fame. A no-nonsense prosecutor commits to solving the investigation only to discover that everything is not as it seems. The killer repeatedly makes fun of the rule of law and the court system as he tries to destroy law and order.
