Christopher Nolan is preparing to shoot his next movie “Oppenheimer” but it seems like he is not done adding to the cast. Dan Dehaan is now being added to the movie’s cast.
Oppenheimer is adapted from the book “American Prometheus: The Triumph And Tragedy Of J. Robert Oppenheimer” by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin. The movie is written by Christopher Nolan. He is also producing with Emma Thomas and Atlas Entertainment’s Charles Roven, with the film scheduled to debut in theatres on July 21, 2023.
The film will present how Oppenheimer played a key role in the invention of atomic weapons, yet later came to have complicated feelings about their deadly power. He lobbied for international control of nuclear power and opposed the creation of the even more destructive hydrogen bomb.
The film’s main cast includes Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Matt Damon, Josh Hartnett, Rami Malek, and Benny Safdie.
In the film, Cillian Murphy will portray the role of Oppenheimer, while Emily Blunt will be his wife, Katherine.
As for Dan Dehaan, his role is yet to be revealed.
Dehaan will next appear in the HBO Max series The Staircase, he recently starred in the 2021 Apple series Lisey’s Story which is based on the novel by Stephen King. The actor has also featured in the 2020 Crime series ZeroZeroZero.
Previously, he appeared in many series and movies including True Blood and In Treatment, along with such films as Tulip Fever, A Cure for Wellness, Knight of Cups, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Life After Beth, Kill Your Darlings, Lincoln, The Place Beyond the Pines, Lawless, Jack & Diane, and Chronicle.
