The famous character of the Marvel cinematic universe Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch, has become more popular than ever. The character is portrayed by talented Hollywood actress Elizabeth Olsen.
Scarlet Witch’s character is returning on screens in the upcoming MCU film “Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness” directed by Sam Raim, starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Stephen Strange.
The movie is scheduled to be released on the 4th of May, 2022.
The film is the sequel to the Film ” Doctor Strange” which was released in 2016.
The first look at the film has already been released, an official image along with the trailer has provided us with a glimpse of the movie.
Fans are happy to see Wanda’s character setting foot in the Doctor Strange franchise after the image of Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff has been revealed.
The character is one of the most beloved supporting heroes in the MCU since its first appearance in the 2015 movie Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Wanda’s character first appeared in 2014, in Captain America: Winter Soldier. It showed just a glimpse of the character at the ending of the movie. She has appeared in other MCU movies too and seen portraying a major role in the movies. Last year in January, MCU released a mini-series of the character “WandaVision”.
Elizabeth didn’t reveal the plot details about the film—she is a seasoned Marvel Studios veteran, after all—she said in a magazine interview last year the film definitely fell under the horror umbrella.
Previously, in an interview with ‘Vanity Fair’ Elizabeth said “I think it’s scarier than Indiana Jones,”.
She further added “I think it definitely feels more Sam Raimi than that. So maybe that was the goal, but it definitely became something darker I think.” She clarified, “Yea, not like [Raimi’s] western [stuff]… Yes, the horror genre feeling of constant fear and thrill and misleads and playing with the camera, playing with the perspective of the depth of field to make the audience feel more anxious… It’s more… I think it’s more than like a glossy Indiana Jones movie. I love Indiana Jones, but I feel like it has a darker thing going on.”
