Those who love glamour, fashion, and lots and lots of drama better make time in their schedules for everyone’s favorite Emily is finally returning to Netflix.
Yes! Emily In Paris has been renewed for Seasons 3 and 4. Time to celebrate.
The story of a 20 something American moving to Paris was an instantaneous hit. The show premiered in October 2020 and has done its very best in hooking up the audiences.
Whether you loved it, hated it, or hated it so much you loved it, at the end of these episodes you are on board. The show’s season 2 was also a massive hit and had left its fans wondering about what might be next.
Will she stay in Paris forever with the man she’s in love with: chef Gabriel, her friend Camille’s ex? Or will she start a long-distance relationship with Alfie, the businessman she met in French classes?
Not only were the fans worried but so was the actress. Lily Collins also shared her views about how she is waiting to see what will happen to her beloved character. The actress told Elle “I’m dying to know what that decision is, ‘cause I don’t know. I’m as confused as Emily was,”
Even the show’s creator, Darren Star, seemed uncertain about Emily’s future. In her interview with TV Line in December 2021, she disclosed, “She has reasons to pick several doors at the end of season 2, and our challenge is deciding which of those doors she’s going to choose and why. That’s what season 3 is going to be about.”
This statement gave the fans a breath of relief as they all hoped for the show to continue. And as of January 10, 2022, according to Netflix, the romcom will be renewed for not only one but two seasons!
There are no further details shared about the filming of the upcoming seasons but according to estimations, fans should expect the third season to stream on Netflix in late 2022 or early 2023, followed by the fourth installment in late 2023.
The news of the renewal of the series was first shared on the show’s official Instagram account. The post said, “Say ‘bonjour’ to 3 & 4! Emily is officially returning for two more seasons.”
The happy news was soon shared by the real-life Emily, Lily Collins as well on her Instagram handle. Her post reads, “Woke up early to give you some VERY exciting news… @emilyinparis is back for Season 3… AND wait for it, Season 4!!!!! I can’t tell if Emily would love or hate this announcement outfit but she’d be screaming either way. Truly love you all, thanks so much for the incredible support. Seriously cannot wait for more. Merci Beaucoup!”
