After watching all eight episodes of Netflix’s live-action Resident Evil series, you might be wondering if there will be a Resident Evil season 2.

Resident Evil is a hugely successful horror franchise all over the world. It has international fame, whether, from the games, movies, or merchandising; most people are familiar with the series even if they haven’t watched the movies or played the games. Based on that alone, it appears that the live-action show will receive a large number of viewers, if only out of curiosity.

There have been countless animated Resident Evil films and shows, but this is the universe’s first live-action series. The films have been the other live-action content.

Netflix will most certainly renew the program for at least one more season, though I’m hoping for many more. I’ll take what I can get.

Is Resident Evil Season 2 coming to Netflix?

Resident Evil has not been canceled or renewed as of yet. If a show is expected to be popular, Netflix may request very early renewals even before it airs. However, Resident Evil has not been renewed or canceled prematurely. The good news is that there is still time for the show to launch and perhaps do well enough on the service to justify a multi-season commitment.

So yet, no confirmation has been provided, but stay tuned for developments.

The good news is that Dabb has a series plan in place, complete with a beginning, middle, and finale. “Whether it’s two seasons, three seasons, four seasons, or five seasons,” he told TVLine, “we’ll let the public choose.”
