Garett Hedlund Arrested For Public Intoxication Days After Split From Emma Roberts

Garrett Hedlund, the actor, is allegedly out of jail after being arrested for public drunkenness in Tennessee on Saturday night.

According to TMZ, the “Friday Night Lights” star was freed from the Franklin County prison on a $2,100 bail. His arrest comes only days after he and co-star Emma Roberts allegedly called it quits.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department did not immediately reply to a request for comment from The Times on Sunday.

Hedlund, 37, and Roberts, 30, started dating in March 2019 and had their first child, Rhodes Robert Hedlund, in December 2020. Roberts shared a nice snapshot of herself and baby Rhodes on Instagram in January 2021 to commemorate the birth of their son.

According to TMZ, Hedlund was already on three years probation for DUI in January 2020. According to People, a mother and daughter who say they were gravely hurt in a terrible head-on collision with Hedlund on the day of his 2020 DUI arrest filed a lawsuit against the “Tron: Legacy” star earlier this week.

According to the lawsuit, Hedlund’s blood-alcohol level at the time of the crash was.36 percent, which is more than four times the legal limit. The plaintiffs are seeking punitive damages as well as a jury trial.

Hedlund, who is also a music artist, released his latest tune, “The Road,” the day before his Saturday public drunkenness episode. He joined Instagram on Monday to promote the song and hasn’t posted anything since.

According to the Internet Movie Database, Hedlund is currently filming “The Ploughmen,” a film directed and written by Oscar-nominated actor Ed Harris about a relationship between a deputy sheriff and a killer.
