When Ratched premiered in 2020, Sarah Paulson’s sinister take on the One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest character captured our imaginations in this campy horror show, which helped us forget about the events in the real world. Forty-eight million Netflix subscribers watched it after its debut, and they also enjoyed it. Therefore, there is a lot of anticipation for Ratched season 2, but it is still being determined when we will receive it. Three years have passed since Ratched, starring Sarah Paulson, debuted on Netflix for the first time on September 18, 2020. Based on Ken Kesey’s 1962 novel, Ratched is an origin story and prequel series to the definitive 1975 film One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. The vast majority know “Medical caretaker Mildred Ratched” as the savage villainess from the story. However, Ratched on Netflix is Ryan Murphy’s new interpretation of the notorious person.
At the beginning of their partnership with Murphy, Netflix placed an initial order for 18 episodes divided into two seasons. The first season had eight episodes, and fans have waited years for the ten-episode rumoured second season of Ratched without hearing a word about its status.
Is There A Second Season Of Ratched On Netflix?
Three years have passed since Ratched premiered on Netflix, and nothing has changed regarding the show’s current state. Netflix hasn’t officially cancelled the show, but it could have been quietly cancelled.
Will Ratched Season 2 Be The Last?
Due to Netflix’s apparent lack of interest in the show, there is a good chance that the second season of Ratched will be the last. Ratched seems less important to the streaming service than Ryan Murphy’s other shows on Netflix.
