Although 2022 appears to be a big year for the Netflix series, with Stranger Things and other shows making significant returns, there are a few more odd things that may make this year even better: Renewals of fan-favourite long-shot shows.
Whether the episodes were initially described as “limited series” or have uncertain fates, there are always a few Netflix shows that we’ll keep our fingers crossed for more. Based on history, even series that have been granted final season orders might be walked back on.
One among all is Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, everyone’s favourite mother-daughter drama.
When The WB/CW series returned in 2016 for a four-part revival miniseries on Netflix, fans were divided. Some fans were dissatisfied with where the revival left our favourite characters and would want to leave them alone, while others are anxious to re-open that supposed cliffhanger finale.
The atmosphere on the second season of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, on the other hand, appears to have turned in a favourable direction. Without a doubt, there is a need for a second season, and it’s all about reuniting the Gilmores’ band for another year in their lives.
According to the cast and creators, everyone is willing to return for season 2 if the timing is right and the story is compelling. They also appear to be well aware of the fandom’s reaction and wish to avoid returning only to return. There has been no action on additional Gilmore Girls as of February 2022, and it appears that this will continue for some time. Still, come on in and dream with us!
