No wonder Korean series are becoming more and more famous with each passing day, no matter what genre they are, romantic dramas, survival games, or apocalyptic series.

Since the release of the Squid game, many other series have garnered massive viewership and have become enormous success, which includes, All of us are dead,
Hellbound sweet home and many more.

Speaking of the series as mentioned above, Hellbound is the one fans have been waiting for the longest. The series was released on Netflix on November 19, 2021, but even five months after the series premiere, Netflix hasn’t officially renewed the series for a second season.

This is undoubtedly bad news for fans who have been eagerly waiting for the series renewal.

The series is the world’s most-watched Netflix series the day after its release and surpassed Squid Game, released two months prior.

The series holds 97% ratings on rotten tomatoes, and The site’s critical consensus reads, “Summoned by the devilish imagination of writer-director Yeon Sang-ho, Hellbound leverages its terrifying concept to explore human fallibility thoughtfully.”

No wonder the series was a massive success and received terrific reviews.
Fans want to see more and can’t wait for the second season.
But unfortunately, there’s still no news if the series will get a renewal.

Netflix considers all the facts while renewing a series are mostly based on viewership. The series had a massive viewership, which certainly indicates that the series is most likely to get a season 2.

But if the series gets a renewal soon, we might expect it in 2023 since the production takes time.
The last cast of the series, which includes Yoo Ah-in, Kim Hyun-Joo, Park Jeong-min, Won Jin-ah, and Yang Ik-June, are most likely to return if there’ll be a season 2. We can also expect some new cast additions and can’t say anything right now.

No one knows what the future of this dark fantasy series holds; meanwhile, we can stream the first season on Netflix.
