If you are a fan of criminal investigation dramas, then you must have heard about the story of the three suburban Michigan mothers! If you haven’t, we are talking about Netflix’s crime-comedy drama television series, Goog Girls, which made its debut on the OTT platform on February 26, 2018, and concluded on July 22, 2021, with its final fourth installment.

This criminal drama’s finale has been available on Netflix in almost every region around the world since August 2021. Still, unfortunately, those who are residing in the US have to wait a little longer for the fourth season as it is scheduled to arrive in the US screens in March 2022.

Those unfamiliar with the show’s synopsis should know that the plot follows three suburban Michigan mothers, two of whom are sisters, who are having a hard time trying to make ends meet. Tired of having everything taken away, they decide to pull off an unlikely heist by robbing a supermarket, only to discover that they are in for more than they expected. Their successful robbery attracts attention. Caught in a series of gang heists, debts, secrets, and familial crises, these women slowly descend a path they never thought of going down before.

The series is often described as a “gentler” and “feminist” version of Breaking Bad, but it has created its genre in reality. It is neither a crime drama nor black comedy but rather something coexisting in between. It portrays the strong characters of three flawed women by digging into their sense of right and wrong and raising questions about morality. The three women, i.e., Elizabeth “Beth” Boland, Ruby Hill, and Annie Marks, are amazingly played by three highly talented actresses, Christina Hendricks, Retta, and Mae Whitman, who made us live their struggles through their performances.

The previous season was supposed to run 16 episodes long, but due to the ongoing pandemic, it was decided to air it with simply 11 episodes making it a lot shorter than normal. Originally, the show was set to have another season, but it was mutually decided to cancel the run due to several obstacles.

In several regions outside the United States, the series comes to Netflix branded as a Netflix Original since it fits in the exclusive international distribution Netflix category. The show’s final season has been aired in locations like the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia on August 31, 2021.

According to the reports, Netflix is scheduled to receive the right to air the show exactly one year after being aired by NBC and available on its app. As season 4 began airing on March 7, 2021, the show’s final season will be coming to Netflix in the United States on March 7, 2022.

If you like Breaking Bad, you should give the show a try. Hopefully, it won’t disappoint.
