The American television series, Into the Badlands, was one of the series that fans wanted to see getting more seasons. Still, unfortunately, the post-apocalyptic drama was canceled after its third season.
Premiered on November 15, 2015, On AMC, season 1 of the series wasn’t a hit; it received mixed reviews from the critics. But season 2 did amazing, it held 100% ratings on rotten tomatoes, and the third season did quite well and received favorable reviews. Rotten Tomatoes reports an 88% approval.
It seemed fans liked the show as the second and third seasons showed quite a development.
Into the Badlands has been described as “a high-octane sci-fi martial arts series,” It follows a warrior and a young boy who journey through a dangerous feudal land together seeking enlightenment.
Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, Into the Badlands features an ensemble cast of Daniel Wu, Orla Brady, Sarah Bolger, Aramis Knight, Emily Beecham, Oliver Stark, Madeleine Mantock, Ally Ioannides, Marton Csokas, Nick Frost, Lorraine Toussaint, Babou Ceesay, Ella-Rae Smith, and Sherman Augustus.
Season 1 aired from November 5 to December 20, 2015, season 2 from March 19 to May 21, 2017, and season 3 from April 22, 2018, to May 6, 2019. On February 9, 2019, AMC canceled the show after three seasons.
Fans were quite upset by the announcement of canceling the show. Most of the gan reacted via Twitter.
One user wrote, “Please Netflix save Into The Badlands and give them a home. This great show needs a new loving family to nurture it and provide it with the support it deserves! One of the best and most gorgeous looking action-packed t.v. Show ever! Help us!”
The other wrote, “I still can’t get over AMC cancelling season 4 of Into the Badlands.”
Unfortunately, we won’t be able to see another season of such a fantastic series.
