Jamie Dornan is a model, actor, and musician from Northern Ireland, born on 1 May 1982. He is The recipient of two Irish Film and Television Awards, he has been nominated for a BAFTA Television Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. In 2020, he was on the list at number 32 on The Irish Times’ list of Ireland’s greatest film actors of all time. In 2001, Jamie started his career as a model and as an actor in 2006. Jamie Dornan said that he had so many questions for him in the beginning about his father and how he really would have responded in these scenarios, trying to get a sense of his dad beyond the page. It’s not like he wouldn’t answer them, but he was very much like: ‘I want you to do your own thing with it.’
Jamie Dornan added, “That’s massive to be given that confidence, rather than trying to be this idealized version of who his father was. So it ended up being easy because I’ve never felt such freedom on a set. I’ve never felt so confident on a film set before.”
he said Basically, he didn’t want to just be staring at his navel. It wasn’t personal therapy, it was really to see whether the story of a family in a difficult situation where humor and all the other coping mechanisms they come up with to try and deal with difficult times could speak to other people.
This lockdown promoted that, I think because the introspection and the unsettling feeling that we’ve all shared drove me back to that time.
