Siblings are known for their quarrels and their affection. We all have moments when we detest our siblings yet in the end we all do our best to support each other. The same could be said for the siblings in Hollywood. The rumors of them fighting aren’t new for their fans as they always end up seen together at the end.
A synonymous situation has been going on between Britney Spears and her younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears. They both seemed to be going through a rocky road.
Their strained relationship unfolded in front of the media in June 2021 when Britney came forward with the actual truth behind her so-called ‘conservatorship’. The Pop Princess has taken a handful of digs on her family by calling her conservatorship ‘abusive and unfair’.
The sisters’ relationship status was once again questioned when Britney unfollowed her on Instagram. They both have been seen together numerous times throughout their careers and still, nothing seems good between them.
During a recent interview that was aired on Good Morning America on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, the younger Spears had shared her sentiments on her sister’s newfound freedom.
Jamie insisted to have always supported Britney through the harsh times and had shared that she had gone out of her comfort zone for her sister on many occurrences.
The 30-year-old had come into the show to promote her latest book, ‘Things I Should Have Said’ which will be released on January 18, 2021.
Throughout the show, she became emotional while sharing her side of the story.
Despite being the subject of Britney’s various allegations, Lynn never claimed to have any significant interest in her sister’s conservatorship. She was 17 and pregnant when Britney was bound in the agreement in early 2008.
Jamie also communicated her involvement in being Britney’s trustee of her $60 million estates. She said, “There was a time where my sister asked me, of her trust will if I would be the person who would ensure that her boys got what they needed, whether she’s in conservatorship or not. That was a very normal thing I thought,”
The whole consultation went the same way. She deciphered her side and made various statements to prove her story.
She said, “I’ve always been my sister’s biggest supporter, so when she needed help, I set up ways to do so, went out of my way to make sure that she had the contacts she needed to possibly go ahead and end this conservatorship, just end this all for our family. If it’s going to cause so much discord, why continue it?”
Jamie has been trolled many times by Britney’s fans for taking advantage of her sister and their relationship has been in highlights for the past year.
Hopefully, their relationship will be redeemed and they can withstand their differences.
