Netflix announced that the action series had been resumed for season six. But sadly, this will be the play’s final season. On January 20, the streaming service revealed the official announcement video across its social media platforms, which included a “highlight reel” of the most noteworthy moments from the show. Understandably, fans need more time to be ready to bid adieu to martial arts acting. But on a more optimistic note, there’s plenty to look ahead to with Cobra Kai season 6 on the horizon. By releasing a short trailer earlier this year, Netflix assured that season six is at a go. The streaming podium teased that this season will be the series’ “biggest and baddest” one, featuring a few highlights from the decades-long karate fiction.
Cobra Kai’ is a spin-off series related to ‘The Karate Kid franchise’ in Southern California’s competitive world of martial arts. It is noted and executive produced by Heald, Hurwitz and Schlossberg through their production enterprise, known as Counterbalance Entertainment. James Lassiter, Will Smith and Caleeb Pinkett executive produce for Westbrook Entertainment and Susan Ekins in collaboration with Sony Pictures Television. The executive producers are Macchio and Zabka. The cast will have fan favourites from season five will probably reprise their roles, including William Zabka, Ralph Macchio, Vanessa Rubio, Courtney Henggeler, Peyton List, Xolo Maridueña, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser and Jacob Bertrand.
There’s yet to be a word on what the plot will be. But since karate frenemies, Daniel and Johnny joined forces to defeat Terry Silver in season five, that season six will likely introduce a notorious new villain. The shooting hasn’t begun yet, so the release date of the premiere and the show is yet to be confirmed. It would help if you will remain connected to know the updated details.
