NBC’s crime drama, Law & Order: Organised Crime, is an ongoing television series that features a “single-arc” storyline that takes multiple episodes to resolve. It is the seventh installment in the Law & Order franchise and a spinoff of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
The show made its debut on April 1, 2021, and has released twenty-three episodes as of yet. It is on its way to concluding its second season. The series revolves around Elliot Stabler, a former Manhattan Special Victims Unit detective who returns to New York several years earlier after retiring from the police department. He joins a task force within the Organised Crime Control Bureau to find his wife’s killers and becomes its second-in-command.
Law and Order franchise is enormous and has decided to become even more massive as the original series has agreed to join SVU and Organized Crime on Thursday nights. OC is on the brink of bringing back another SVU idol.
The character who is being brought back is Donald Cragen. He is a fictional character introduced in the American crime drama television series Law & Order and its spinoff, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Cragen is a homicide captain with the New York Police Department who later becomes captain of the department’s Special Victims Unit.
According to the reports, the former Stabler’s captain will make his comeback in the future episodes of season two. The episodes are scheduled to hit the screens from April 7.
Dann Florek will guest lead on Law & Order: Organized Crime’s April 7 episode. Through “Give My My Remote” report is titled “Can’t Knock the Hustle” and will feature Stabler going to Cragen to attempt and get some explanations after learning that Donnelly’s stories don’t line up with what Stabler recalls of his dad at NYPD. Turning to Cragen is a brilliant move by Stabler, but requiring his former captain to clear the air about his long-dead father doesn’t really set the stage for the most generous and vaguest reunion.
Despite previous crossovers and strong relations among multiple characters, Mariska Hargitay is the only SVU character seen making regular appearances on the spinoff series. Cragen’s return – is a lot to be thrilled about as it thickens the ties between the L&O shows further.
Florek arriving in Organised Crime actually occurred in the same season that he returned to SVU, as he was one of the alums who returned to the long-running show for the landmark 500th episode.
Unfortunately for fans, Mariska Hargitay reportedly will not arise in the episode, and hence they will not be sharing screen-space. Dann Florek will arrive on Organised Crime to reprise his role on Thursday, April 7 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC, followed by Law & Order: SVU at 9 p.m. and the original Law & Order at 8 p.m.
