We double-checked Netflix’s June release schedule just in case, but the horror series isn’t among them. That’s not shocking, but we were hoping for a miracle. After all, we’re curious to see how the writers have concluded this series.
Yes, Locke and Key Season 3 will be the final one. That was verified in April; however, it is no longer valid because Netflix has canceled it. Instead, the show realized there was a better way to resolve the Locke family drama without driving things into the ground. We must accept a creator’s decision to discontinue a series rather than push it for financial gain.

So now we only have to wait for a release date. We already know that the season will be available for binge-watching. Netflix’s approach has not altered, even though shows with weekly releases on other platforms have enjoyed a lot of popularity.
The third season has finished filming and occurred at the end of 2021; therefore, the series is still in post-production. A series like this will take at least six months, but we’re looking at more like eight months at the very least. This might imply a summer 2022 release date.
