Nancy Meyers will soon be directing, writing, and even producing a new streaming movie for the digital platform, reports Variety.
The Academy Award-nominated writer-filmmaker is known for her work in the comedy-drama ‘The Intern,’ a 2015 movie starring Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway. The film is a fantastic example of “Experience never gets old.”
According to “Variety,” the global giant of OTT, Netflix, has commissioned this project. The news of this partnership came out when Meyers and Netflix teamed up to release the short film “Father of the Bride 3 (ish), which landed on the social channels in 2020.
The details of the film have currently covered. However, the project already has a standard to maintain after the full appreciation grossing movie “The Intern.” The project is also rumored to be a comedy-based one and no doubt on Meyer’s creativity in humor.
In the past, Meyers has earned an Oscar for the “Private Benjamin” screenplay and writing and producing the “Father Of the Bride.” She has also made her directorial debut with “The P rent Trap,” released in 1998 with Denis Quaid and the late Natasha Richardson in the main cast.
