If you are looking to stream a horror mystery thriller, then this soon to arrive series on Netflix is for you. The Watcher is based on true events created by showrunners Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan.

The thriller mystery is a limited series based on actual events. It is adapted from the story of 2018 of the same name published in The Cut written by Reeves Wideman. As soon as it got published, Netflix wanted to acquire its filming rights. It was a bidding war between six studios, but Netflix clearly won.

It is currently in the post-production phase, the cast member Naomi Watts recently shared that the filming on the show’s season has been wrapped. That being said, we can expect the premiere of The Watcher sooner than we think, and we are speculating it will make an entrance this year.

There is no official date of the premiere being released by the streamer. We will have to wait for the official announcement. We are hoping that it will release sometime in late 2022. The show will consist of seven episodes in total, and their runtime is not disclosed yet.

The show has a fantastic talented ensemble cast, including
Boddy Cannavale
Naomi Watts
Jennifer Coolidge
Mia Farrow
Noma Dumezweni
Margo Martindale
Richard Kind
Seth Gabel
Isabel Gravitt
Henry Hunter Hall
Chris McDonald
Michael Nouri

The Watcher will follow a story of a married couple; when they move to their dream house in New Jersey, they are harassed through letters signed by the name ‘the watcher.’

The synopsis of the series reads, “Based on the real-life case, beginning in 2014, of the Braoddus family, who were spied on, threatened and ultimately driven to sell their home & leave the town they loved, by a mysterious stalker who identified themselves only as “the Watcher” in the letters sent to Mr & Mrs Broaddus.”

It will be quite a watch after looking at the plot, we suggest saving it on your watch list. Stay connected and tune in with us for more exciting updates.
