On April 9, 2022, Netflix will release another South Korean television series, Our Blues. The show will be Netflix’s original romantic drama series written by Noh Hee Kyung and directed by Kim Kyu Tae. The show will be premiere every Saturday and Sunday at 21:00 (KST). It will be available on Netflix in selected regions as well.
The show will go on for ten weeks with a total of 20 episodes and will conclude on Sunday, June 12, 2022. Each episode is reported to have an approximate run time of 70 minutes. Before being released on Netflix, the show will be telecast on the South Korean cable television network tvN.
The show’s premise is set on a beautiful island called Jeju, a perfect place to escape from the hassles and struggles of city life and is known to be the ideal home for those unlucky in finding love and have come to find their soul mates.
The upcoming K-Drama will focus on the sweet and bitter life of people standing at the end, climax, or beginning of life and depicts their stories in an omnibus format against the backdrop of Jeju Island. We will be introduced to characters like Lee Dong-Seok, a truck maker born on the island; Min Seon-ah, a woman who came to Jeju and works with Lee Dong-Seok and Choi Han-soo, a perfect urban man, who has returned to his hometown.
The casting for the show was finalized and revealed on October 10, 2021, and we will be seeing stars like Shin Min-ah, Kim Woo-bin, Lee Byung-hun, Cha Seung-won, Lee Jung-eun, Uhm Jung-Hwa, Han Ji-min, and many more.
The filming began in October 2021, and seventy percent of it has taken place on Jeju Island. The shooting had to be stopped on February 9, 2022, as it was reported that Lee Byung-hun tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently in self-quarantine.
According to the show director, the series depicts the lives of ordinary people in the Jeju oil field as the background. With 14 main characters, we will be introduced to eight new and unique stories.
Hopefully, the fans will relate to the characters, and the story will be worth watching.
