The Netflix series life/sex made waves upon its debut in 2021 with its steamy scene and exploration of relationships and sexuality. The show has recently been renewed for a second season, and fans are eagerly anticipating what’s to come. Here is what we know so far about the show.Â
The series centers around Billie Connelly, played by Sarah Shahi, a wife and mother who is struggling with feelings of dissatisfaction and longing for her past life as a single woman in New York. As she navigates her complicated relationships with her husband cooper, played by Mike Vogel and her ex-boyfriend Bard, played by Adam Demos, Billie grapples with her desires and the consequences of her actions.Â
Shahi and Vogel are confirmed to be returning for season 2, as well as Margaret Odette as Billie’s friend and confidante, Sasha. However, demos’ involvement in the upcoming season is still being determined as his character’s storyline seemed to come to a conclusion in the season 1 finale. One actor who has been confirmed to join the cast for season 2 is Jack Davenport, known for his roles in Pirates of the Caribbean and The Crown. Davenport will play a new character named Cooper’s brother, who is described as “charming, sophisticated, and confident.”
As for what fans can expect from season 2, there are a few clues based on how season 1 ended. Billie’s relationship with Cooper is strained after he discovers her infidelity, and she has to decide whether to fight for their marriage or pursue her feelings for Brad
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, creator Stacy Rukeyser teased that season 2 will delve deeper into the characters’ motivations and explore the consequences of their actions. “The themes of the show are about desire, love, and what we’re willing to risk to have those things,” Rukeyser said. “Season 2 will continue to explore those themes and push the characters even further.”
