Marilyn Monroe, the famous American actress, known for her emblematic persona of the sexual revolution in the 1950s and 1960s, has much more dimension than the image she portrayed, she was a remarkable example of a talented young woman with no limits. Unfortunately, her life ended in the dark when she suddenly passed away from a drug overdose in 1962. Netflix is bringing a documentary that will take us on a journey exploring the mystery surrounding Marilyn Monroe and her tragic death.
The documentary is titled ‘The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes’ will arrive on the streaming platform on Wednesday, April 27 at 12:00 a.m. PT and 3:00 a.m. ET.
The announcement of the star’s life-inspired documentary came from Netflix’s official Twitter account with a poster, captioned, “The brighter the star, the darker the truth. THE MYSTERY OF MARILYN MONROE: THE UNHEARD TAPES comes to Netflix April 27.”
The film is produced by Chris Smith and directed by Emma Cooper. It is a Library Films produced project. We can expect something spectacular as it has previously released many notable films such as Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness, and Fyre.
As per a broadcast report, the documentary will focus on the life of the artist and the circumstances of her death. It will feature unheard recordings, never-before-seen archival footage with a mix of dramatic reconstruction.
The documentary is rated TV-MA, so it is better to spare your kids when you watch it. The rating is done because of the sexual content the film will feature and strong language. There is no official trailer out yet, but we hope it will soon be released in a couple of weeks. You can check out the classic Monroe movies like Some Like It Hot, Let’s Make Love, and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. And, we will do our job of keeping you posted on every little detail.
