Netflix has released the teaser for the upcoming action and comedy film The Takedown with a star cast Omar Sy and Laurent Lafitte as the crime-stopping duo.

The forthcoming action-comedy is set to premiere May 6 and will follow Sy and Monge as police officers who are the complete opposite and get paired together to uncover an unexpectedly big criminal case:

This movie is a sequel to the 2012 french film On The Other Side Of The Tracks. Two cops with very distinct styles stop crime and solve the mystery. Two policemen investigation that leads take them to the drug dealer at first turn out to be a high scale conspiracy filled with danger.

The Takedown is directed by Primetime Emmy-winner Louis Leterrier, the director behind the 2013 movie Now You See Me. The movie was written by Stéphane Kazadjian (Modern Love) and produced by Eric Altmayer and Nicolas Altmayer. In addition to Sy and Lafitte, the cast also includes Izïa Higelin as Alice, Jean-Louis Tilburg as Contrôleur, Dimitri Storoge as Brunner.

The action film will make its way to Netflix on Friday, May 6, 2022, at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET. It’s another late release, so make sure to set your alarm clocks. And don’t forget to mark your calendars!
