This spring, Netflix will release a brand-new historical drama, and we cannot wait. Transatlantic is based on the actual events of journalist Varian Fry, who in 1940 established the Emergency Rescue Committee in France to assist artists and writers in leaving the Nazis and going to America.
Daniel Hendler and Anna Winger are the co-creators of Transatlantic. Additionally, Netflix and Winger announced a collaboration in September 2021, and their first project, “Transatlantic,” is the first international TV drama Winger will produce for the streaming service.
