To mention a few, happiness, All of Us Are Dead, and Kingdom appears to be popular horror dramas containing monsters and zombie-like creatures among K-drama fans. Whether the episode ends on a cliffhanger or not, everyone expects a Season 2 for such shows. There are several reasons for this, including excellent acting, the proper emotional quotient to elicit pity for the characters, and stunning CGIs.

Sweet Home Season 2, starring Song Kang, is one such in-demand sequel. The show’s first season premiered in December 2020, and it eventually gained a sizable fan base. Studio Dragon created the series; some of their other projects include My Holo Love, Love Alarm, Arthdal Chronicles, and Crash Landing on You.

Sweet Home is based on Yongchan Hwang’s popular webtoon of the same name. The plot revolves around a disturbed high schooler who witnesses frightening occurrences as humanity faces extinction and monsters take over the globe.

Release Date of Sweet Home Season 2

The show was well-received by both the public and the reviewers. As a result, it’s somewhat unexpected that, even though Season 1 launched 15 months ago, there has been no formal renewal announcement for Sweet Home Season 2, especially given that we were left on a massive cliffhanger.

Fans’ expectations are still high, as the public has become aware of a few pieces of evidence indicating that Sweet Home Season 2 production has commenced. Song Kang’s manager published a few photographs on his Instagram account on March 8, 2022, leading fans to assume that Season 2 is in the works.

On July 9, 2021, Soompi also revealed that a few industry officials have said that Sweet Home Season 2 filming was underway. Back then, Netflix quickly responded, stating, “Nothing has been determined about the production of Sweet Home Season 2.”
