OnePlus began delivering a physical alert slider on its smartphones after the launch of the OnePlus One. Placed on the upper left end of the phone, it enables the user to set the phone’s sound profile as silent, vibrate, and ring without opening the screen.
According to a tipster, this process will change shortly, and the company will restrict the famous alert slider to its flagship models. As per the information leaked, the recently disclosed OnePlus Nord 2T was the last mid-range device to show an alert slider. From this point, the alert slider will only be assigned in the Pro models along with Oppo flagships. The forthcoming OnePlus 10T is supposed to launch without the alert slider.
The company’s OnePlus 10T is also supposed to drop the alert slider. A render for the smartphone circulated online also shows the alert slider missing. Nonetheless, OnePlus is yet to verify the news, so the reported elements should be consumed with a bit of doubt.
Lately, Yogesh Brar, in collaboration with Onsitego, leaked the renders and key features of the OnePlus 10T. The leaked renders demonstrate the handset in black color without the alert slider. It is exhibited with a hole-punch display design as well. The OnePlus ten is foreseen to feature a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood. It is told to sport a triple rear camera unit featured by a 50-megapixel main sensor. For selfies, the phone could have a 32-megapixel front camera. It is supposed to sport a 4,800mAh battery as well.
