The wait for Outer Banks season 3 has begun. The Netflix Original got renewed for a new season in December 2021, and fans are excited to see what happens next for our beloved Pogues. Season 2’s last minutes left us with a massive cliffhanger and a lot of questions, so we’re pleased to know that we’ll get some answers soon. But when will this happen? Everyone, we’ve got our sights set on it!
Season 3 of Outer Banks does not yet have a release date, but one of the directors, Valerie Weiss, released an update on Instagram this week that has fans excited. She tweeted a series of group images, demonstrating her appreciation for the performers and staff. But it wasn’t simply a throwback post to her time on set – Weiss revealed something significant for season 3!

According to Weiss ‘ post four days ago, season 3 was supposed to begin filming “tomorrow,” thus production is officially started!
None of the critical stars appear to have chronicled the start of filming on their Instagram accounts yet, but they will most likely do so shortly! Because it’s still early in the year, there’s a good chance Outer Banks season 3 will air in 2022. Because Netflix hasn’t revealed many TV program release dates, the second half of the year is wide open for a major release like this.
Since the debut of Outer Banks season 2, there has been considerable backstage squabbling between performers Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline. Unfortunately, the on-screen lovers split up in real life, and numerous speculations circulated about why. The good news is that both actors will return for season three, and we’ll be interested in watching how their divorce affects their tales.
