Pam & Tommy is an upcoming American biographical drama that revolves around the lives of the actress Pamela Anderson and her husband Tommy Lee. This story is ready to greet its fans on the screens on February 2, 2022.
The series will debut with three episodes on Hulu in the US, Star+ in Latin America, and Disney+ internationally with new episodes that will then follow weekly.
Being directed under the eye of Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, the story will focus on ‘Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s relationship, going back to the whirlwind romance that started with them marrying after only knowing each other for 96 hours in 1995.’
The story revolves around the world’s first-ever “viral sex tape” as the tape ended up becoming one of the most famous scandals of all time because of the legal battle that became the aftermath of this scandal.
Fans got the first glimpse of the storyline on January 5, 2022, when the first trailer was released. It shows Pamela and Tommy’s hot and heavy relationship along with the man who got ahold of their sex tape. The show will chronicle the lawsuit that Anderson and Lee filed against the distributor, Internet Entertainment Group. The suit was eventually settled, and the tape remained in the public domain.
The series will have eight episodes and will feature Anderson and Lee’s whirlwind love story and catastrophic breakup. We will get to see Lily James and Sebastian Stan in the lead roles along with Nick Offerman and Taylor Schilling in negative roles.
With the release date so near, it is revealed that the episodes are filled with numerous sex scenes. When being questioned about their necessity, the Rebecca star defended the need for these scenes to fully comprehend their story.
Her statement read, “We really felt that the sex scenes had to be a part of the story and had to be essential to the script and progressing their relationship and looking at what happened. It was a really great constant conversation and nothing was set in stone.”
Along with defending the scenes of the movie, the actress also addressed the fact that playing the Baywatch babe was quite challenging and said, “She was one of the biggest stars on the planet and an icon. I got a lot out of this. It was definitely the biggest acting challenge of my life. It felt alive and I really loved that.”
Since the whole story is based on the biggest sex tape scandal, the bold scenes seemed a necessary part of the narrative. Hence, make sure to keep the younger generation away from the series which apparently would make Pammy blush herself.
