If your heart belongs to the early 2000s then you are most probably aware of the popular girly duo, Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan who became friends to frenemies after being seen together a lot of times in high-end Hollywood clubs.
This adorable friendship first caught fire in 2006 at L.A’s Hyde nightclub, when Lohan was reportedly dating Hilton’s ex-boyfriend Stavros Niarchos. On the same occasion, a video went viral in the media of Hilton talking to the son of an oil tycoon, Brandon Davis.
Davis was seen saying hurtful things about Lohan to the paparazzi and Hilton never interjected on her friend’s behalf.
Davis ended up branding the actress as a ‘fire crotch’. And from this emerged, one the most famous celebrity squabbles of all time.
Although, later on, both the parties involved in the cruel joke gave their justifications, the damage was already done. Hilton’s publicist issued a statement claiming that Hilton was never directly involved as she never said a word and Davis gave a formal apology in the public saying, “What started out as a joke got completely carried away. I am horrified at the words that came out of my mouth.”
These two Hollywood babes were often spotted partying together which involved a lot of booze and drugs. They used to be labeled as friends but this label soon changed from friends to frenemies.
Since then, the relationship between them has never been the same. Albeit meeting and spending time together on several occasions the girls never became friends. They have claimed to be friends and then not friends way too many times to keep records. Their relationship status is definitely ‘complicated’.
Recently during her visit to the sets of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Hilton revealed that all is good between her and her ‘friend’ Lindsay. After being back since her debut in 2019, Hilton had a lot of nice things to say about her co-star. Her statement read, “I just feel like we’re grown-ups now. I just got married. She just got engaged. We’re not in high school. I think it was just very immature and now everything is all good.”
After being questioned about who made this first move, she answered, “I saw that she got engaged when I was on my honeymoon, and I just said, ‘Congratulations. That was it. No bad vibes.”
Even though fans are happy that they have resolved their issues, many of us are still skeptical as this same actress had previously said some mean things when she came on this show for the first time in 2019. During a segment called, ‘plead the fifth’ Paris was asked to say three nice things about Lindsay which ended up in disaster. Paris sassed out and instead of saying nice things about the actress, she called her “beyond…..lame and embarrassing”
After that, she apologized as well which might have broken the ice between the actress. We are still somewhat unsure of where their relationship lies at the moment but are hoping for the best.
