Akshay Kumar’s new Raksha Bandhan is banging on the box office collection even after competing with the bigger Release of Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha. The movie managed to get a good response but again, on the second day, its collection managed to got to drop by a huge percentage but not low than Laal Singh Chaddha’s collection.
Raksha Bandhan Starrer Akshay Kumar is produced by Colour Yellow Productions, Zee Studios, and Alka Hiranandani. It is the third released movie by Akshay Kumar of the year. In the current year, Akshay Kumar has already given a bang with Bachchhan Pandey and Samrat Prithviraj. Film analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter that “#RakshaBandhan has a disappointing start on Day 1… Mass circuits perform better [good occupancy in evening shows], but metros are extremely weak… Biz needs to grow/jump from Fri-Sun to improve its prospects… Thu ₹ 8.20 cr. #India biz.”
Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan collected nearly around 8.20 crores on the opening day, which is a great collection, but its collection was reduced to 20-30% on the second day. The movie collection is dipped because of the clash at the box office. Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan are now on clash as they released on the same date.
Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan earns only 6.40 crores on the second day. The producers and actors are waiting for the weekend collection, which can be increased accordingly.
Raksha Bandhan’s film budget is approx 70 crores which says that it seems difficult to earn to the point. The struggle seems real in the box office collection for not only Raksha Bandhan but both the films. It seems to have mixed reactions from the audience as well as critics for both films.
Let’s wait for the collection of the weekend as everyone hopes that both Raksha Bandhan and Laal Singh Chaddha will again rise.
