With a limited number of screening and occupancy the movie Cirkus took a step at box office. Hindi language comedy movie Cirkus was released on December 23, 2022. Despite being a single release of Bollywood on the occasion of Christmas the movie didn’t grew well at box office.
Ranveer Singh starrer Cirkus movie is directed by Rohit Shetty and is produced under the label of Rohit Shetty Productionz and T-Series. Varun Sharma, Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde can be seen in pivot roles in the movie. The plot of the movie is based on William Shakespeare’s play ‘The Comedy Of Errors.’ The principal photography of the movie started in November 2020 at Mumbai.
The film didn’t clicked with the masses even on the occasion of Christmas and Sunday. The film had a total business of around 6.25 crores on its first day of release while the makers were expecting the film to gather at least 15-20 crores on its opening. While on the second day of release the movie captured a gross collection of 6.40 Cr and on its third day and first sunday the movie collected around 8.5 crores.
Film Cirkus was expected to grow at box office on its first weekend on Christmas but due to the average rating of 2 stars out of 5 and the below average reviews the movie didn’t performed well. Although there was no other release of Bollywood movie in the same week but still the movie got outrated.
Ranveer Singh and other participating actors tried to create the buzz for the movie with multiple events but Rohit Shetty produced wasn’t able to cope-up at box office.
Today on Cirkus 4th Day Box Office Collection the movie might face a strong dip in collection and the graph may come steep down. The expected collection could be around 2.5 crores in total.
