“Weird Al” Yankovic” is ready to dazzle his fans with his latest project that will be a biopic named, “Weird: The “Weird Al” Yankovic Story. The movie will be directed by Eric Appel who is also the co-writer and executive producer of this upcoming franchise. The movie will screen on Roku Channel and will be co-produced by Funny or Die and Tango.

Weird Al Yankovic is known as the biggest best-selling comedy recording artist and is a five-time Grammy Winner. And this amazing person will be played by our Boy Who Lived, Daniel Radcliffe who is all set to play this spectacular role in a film that will explore, “every facet of Yankovic’s life, from his meteoric rise to fame with early hits like “Eat It” and “Like a Surgeon” to his torrid celebrity love affairs and famously depraved lifestyle,”

The five times Grammy winner shared his thoughts regarding this rather strange casting which left his fans on toes. He said, “When my last movie UHF came out in 1989, I made a solemn vow to my fans that I would release a major motion picture every 33 years, like clockwork. I’m very happy to say we’re on schedule, And I am thrilled that Daniel Radcliffe will be portraying me in the film. I have no doubt whatsoever that this is the role future generations will remember him for.”

Not much has been released about the working of this new project yet it has created hype in their fans. Daniel Radcliffe has been in news for the recent reunion of the magical world for the Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts reunion and he has also entertained his fans through his roles in the movies Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum’s The Lost City. The actor has been known to be part of challenging franchises including The Woman In Black, Kill Your Darlings, Victor Frankenstein, Now You See Me 2, and more. And this new project has also made his fans excited as this duo is surely a strange one, consisting of pop culture icons of wholly different kinds.

The project might sound familiar to many as this has been done before by Appel who wrote and directed a trailer for a fake Yankovic biopic in 2013. Stars like Aaron Paul, Olivia Wilde, Gary Cole, Patton Oswalt, Mary Steenburgen, Paul Scheer, and Yankovic himself had been part of it.

Biopics are quite popular these days and have created hype.
We can’t wait to see how WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story will fit amongst these.
