While others are “enjoying their time with friends and families,” Beatles fans will be hooked to their devices this weekend. Because the release date for The Beatles: Get Back has finally arrived!
After a long wait, Peter Jackson’s long-awaited documentary series The Beatles: Get Back is live on Disney+. The eight-hour-long series includes amazing restored footage from the band’s ‘Let It Be recording sessions, which was captured by filmmaker Michael Lindsay-Hogg for a 1970 documentary of the same name.
While that documentary—which was never get released on DVD or digital platforms—became known as the film that showed the Beatles’ break-up, Jackson promises to tell a complete story with significantly fewer hours of footage, but the story was otherwise.
For the die-hard fans of The Beatles, this weekend will be the best one.
Release date and time
The Beatles: Get Back Part 1 is live on Disney+. Part 2 will go live on Friday, November 26, and Part 3 is scheduled on Saturday, November 27.
On the morning of the release date, new titles will be dropped on Disney+ at 3 a.m. Eastern Time or midnight. Pacific Time. As a result, Part 1 of The Beatles: Get Back is live on Disney+ Hotstar. A Disney representative confirmed that each documentary installment would premiere at midnight Pacific Time on the morning of the premiere date.
