The 74-year-old actor and director Carl Weathers has confirmed that he will be directing The Mandalorian’s Season 3.
Carl Weathers portrays the role of Greef Karga, a leader of bounty hunters. He also directed the fourth episode of the second season, titled “Chapter 12: The Siege.”
Recently, a fan asked him on Twitter if he would be directing more episodes of the series as it was considered that “the seige” has become fans’ favorite episode.
On Twitter, a fan asked, “Hey Carl, are you also directing in season 3? I saved your episode in s2!”.
“Affirmative as DIRECTOR! #This Is The Way. #BePeace,” he responded, confirming his return as a director while referring to the series’s famous motto, “this is the way.”
Jon Favreau created the Mandalorian for the streaming service Disney+. The American Space live-action show is the first series in the famous star wars Franchise, and it features Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin, the series’ core character.
The plot follows the story of Din Djarin, alone Mandalorian bounty hunter hired by remnant Imperial forces to rescue the child Grogu but instead goes on the run to protect the infant.
The first season of the series premiered in November 2019, and the second season in October 2020.
However, the release date for the third of the Mandalorian is yet to be revealed, but we can assume it will be released in 2022.
