Netflix is developing a new political action thriller series. The Night Agent, a television series based on the same name novel by Matthew Quirk in 2019, describes the story of a low-ranking FBI agent who is imposed to work in a dull office environment in the White House. But one day, he receives an emergency call that drags him into a dangerous conspiracy.
Netflix has finally made the series’ teaser available. The streaming service has also revealed the show’s premiere date and first-look images.
Shawn Ryan is the creator of the upcoming Netflix original series The Night Agent. He is the showrunner as well. Ryan is best known for co-creating the action drama S.W.A.T. and the previous drama series The Shield. Ryan first revealed in 2020 that he would be producing a television version of Matthew Quirk’s 2019 bestseller book of the same name. Netflix ordered a series in July 2021 because they loved the concept.
Through his MiddKid Productions, Ryan served as executive producer. Seth Gordon, Marney Hochman, Julia Gunn, Jamie Vanderbilt, William Sherak, Paul Neinstein, Nicole Tossou, and David Beaubaire are additional executive producers. The action thriller is also a product of Sony Pictures Television Studios.
