As one of the fans’ favorite apocalyptic shows is coming to an end, the walking dead Franchise is ready to greet the viewers with more content packed in the form of multiple spinoffs based on the show’s leading and most loved characters.

AMC’s top-rated apocalyptic serial drama, The Walking Dead, is on its way to concluding its eleventh and final season. Since October 31, 2010, the show has been running and released ten seasons with 164 episodes. The show is currently airing its last season and has recently released its 16th episode on April 10, 2022. The season will conclude with twenty-four episodes.

Daryl Dixon, a character who has been with us since the very beginning, is getting his story arc introduced in his upcoming spinoff created by Angela Kang and Scott M. Gimple. The show is expected to make its appearance in 2023 after the conclusion of the eleventh season of the main show. Unfortunately, McBride departed the project in April 2022, making it entirely Daryl-focused.

During a recent interview with Leo Edit, the actor Norman Reedus revealed that the show will be completed unexpected and completely different” from the flagship show ending this year. His statement reads, “There’s gonna be a spinoff, and it’ll be me alone, and I’ll be on this mission, and those characters will come back together later on down the road, of course; and other characters that have gone missing, I’ll probably run into.”

Further, he talked about the plot and added, “… It’ll be completely different. And to be honest, you wouldn’t wanna do this show as a spinoff the same by yourself. It’s terrifying.”

Reedus even talked about his background, and his character has always been focused on his and his team’s survival. Hence, he said he would like to see a different picture for his character where he would eventually focus on things other than mere survival. His words read, “…I just wanna see something different. I want the tone to be different. I want the look to be different.”
