With the recent completion of season 4 production, Sex Education has enjoyed success on Netflix for three seasons. Later this year, the streaming service is anticipated to release the fourth season. However, rumours about the show suggest that Sex Education season 4 will look very different because many cast members have already been dropped. The absences of Patricia Allison, Tanya Reynolds, Simone Ashley, and Rakhee Thakrar have all been officially confirmed.
Emma Mackey, who plays Maeve Wiley on the television series Sex Education, suggests that this could be her final season. The plot plays around Otis, a teen whose mom is a sex therapist, teams up with his classmate Maeve to assist students with a covert sex clinic in Sex Education. Otis and Maeve serve as the series’ hosts, but the audience follows a diverse group of characters as they all deal with sex and love in high school. Along with Asa Butterfield, Ncuti Gatwa, Aimee Lou Wood, Connor Swindells, and Gillian Anderson, Mackey also appears in the Film.
Ncuti Gatwa, who played Eric in the well-liked teen drama, is the most recent cast member to leave. Ncuti recently stated that Sex Education season 4 would be his final season, even though he will appear in it. According to a recent interview Emma Mackey gave with Total Film, she might be the next cast member to leave her role and the program. She expresses how thrilling it is to play Maeve but worries that, now that she is in her late 20s, she won’t be able to play a teenager for much longer. Sadly, we still do not know when it will be released. However, we know that the start of February marked the official end of production. The newest episodes should be in post-production right now; they’ll stay there for at least four months before being released on Netflix. If the post-production process takes four months, the show might air in June 2023.
